Sometimes kids don’t have the words to tell us they’re struggling.
CHILD THERAPY IN AMARILLO, TX
AGES 8 & UP
Big feelings don't always come out as tears.
Sometimes they look like meltdowns.
Sometimes they look like shutting down.
Sometimes they look like anger, worry, perfectionism, or changes at school.
Whatever you're noticing, you don't have to figure it out alone.
Maybe you've been wondering...
"This doesn't seem like my child anymore."
"Everything feels like a battle."
"They're anxious about things they never used to worry about."
"They've become quiet."
"They're struggling at school."
"I just want my happy kid back."
If you've found yourself thinking any of those things, you're not alone. Many parents come to us feeling worried, overwhelmed, or unsure of what to do next.
The good news is, you don't have to have all the answers before reaching out.
Therapy isn't just for your child.
When a child is struggling, the whole family feels it.
It's easy to wonder if you missed something.
If you should have handled something differently.
Or if you're somehow failing as a parent.
You're not.
We don’t believe your child is broken.
Our goal is to understand what's underneath the behaviors, help your child build the skills they need, and support your family along the way.
WHAT CHILD THERAPY LOOKS LIKE
Every child is different. That's why every therapy experience looks a little different, too. Depending on your child's age, personality, and goals, sessions might include:
• Playing games while talking
• Drawing or creating
• Learning ways to calm big emotions
• Building confidence
• Practicing problem-solving
• Talking through worries
• Helping parents know how to support things at home
Every child is different, so therapy is tailored to what helps them feel safest and most understood.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
We'll get to know your child.
Not just the behavior.
The whole person.
Every child has unique strengths, challenges, and experiences that deserve to be understood.
We'll partner with you.
You know your child better than anyone else.
We'll work together to better understand what's happening and create practical strategies that support your child both inside and outside of therapy.
We'll celebrate progress.
Sometimes growth looks like a breakthrough.
Sometimes it looks like one less meltdown.
Sometimes it looks like your child smiling a little more.
Every step forward matters.
Meet the therapist
With experience as both a teacher and school counselor, Devin understands that children often communicate through behavior long before they can explain what they’re feeling.
She creates a warm, supportive environment where children, teens, and parents feel safe enough to be honest, ask questions, and grow together.
Her approach is patient, collaborative, and grounded in helping families better understand what their child is experiencing while building practical skills that create lasting change.
One thing we want every parent to know….
Needing therapy doesn’t mean you’ve failed.
Sometimes children simply need another trusted adult in their corner.
Seeking support isn’t a sign that you’re doing something wrong.
It’s often one of the most loving things you can do for your child.
You don’t have to figure this out alone.
You don’t have to know exactly what’s going on before reaching out.
If something feels different, we’d love to help you make sense of it.
